Why Yale? During my virtual interview, the residents said that what made Yale special was the people, and at the end of my interview I sensed that; everyone was so friendly and genuine. I have amazing and noble co-residents and faculty that make an exceptional and pleasant learning environment. Other important aspects that also draw me to Yale were: a highly academic experience, the opportunity to be part of a global health track, be able participate in their refugee and Hispanic clinics, and the patient population diversity.
Favorite Apizza: For now my favorite Apizza spot is BAR, but still need to try all the pizza places by the end of the year. I also like Soul de Cuba Cafe, delicious latin food.
How do you stay busy outside the hospital? I enjoy going to the beach, hiking and going to the gym. I like to go to different restaurants (great cuisine diversity here in New Haven). I love going out with my co-residents to eat/drink/dance. I also enjoy dancing Salsa (nice Salsa events in Downtown streets).
